Review: 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian in Disney World

Article By:

1900 Park Fare is one of several restaurants located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Disney World, Orlando. While the food is delightful by Disney standards, the restaurant’s biggest draw is the characters.

1900 Park Fare offers a breakfast buffet between 8:00AM-11:50AM and a dinner buffet between 4:00PM-9:00PM. You’ll be able to meet Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Tigger, and Winnie the Pooh during the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast. If you stop by for Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner you’ll be able to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine (the wicked stepmother), Anastasia, and Drisella.

There’s typically about a 10 minute wait once you checkin for your reservation. When it’s you’re turn to go in, the server will assign you a table and the characters take turns going from table to table to interact with guests and pose for photos. They have a set table rotation they follow. You’ll want to go to the buffet when there’s no characters near your table so you don’t miss any photo ops 😉

I’ve dined at 1900 Park Fare plenty of times for breakfast but this was my first time going for dinner so I took plenty of photos of the food. This is the carving station in the center of the buffet, offering roast beef and turkey.

Green Beans and Beef

Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

Pork Loin and Pasta

Chicken Fingers, Corn, Mac & Cheese for the kids

Part of the Dessert Selection

This is just some of the food offered during the dinner buffet. I forgot to take photos of the breakfast selection, but they offer a pretty typical breakfast buffet. You’ll find Mickey waffles, Alice’s red velvet pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereal, a cold food section, an omelet station, assorted pastries etc.

1900 Park Fare is always a popular choice among hotel guests. I highly recommend making reservations well in advance if you want to try it out. If you’re paying with the Disney Dining Plan, this counts as 1 Table Credit per person. It typically takes about an hour to eat here and meet all the characters, so if you’re planning on heading to the parks get here early.
