35% OFF Award Rates at Eleven Gorgeous SPG Resorts

Article By:

Starwood is my favorite hotel operator and my preferred hotel chain to stay at when I travel. I just love their SPG reward program. You can transfer SPG points to airlines and book free first class flights, you can book suites at beautiful hotels for free, or bid on once-in-a-lifetime experiences through their SPG Moments program. Acquiring SPG points because much easier recently after Marriott purchased Starwood last year. You can now transfer points from Marriott to SPG at a ratio of 3:1.

Starwood recently announced a huge discount for stays at eleven of their best properties around the world! The following resorts can now be booked for 35% off the regular suite redemption rate. Rooms must be booked and stayed at between July 1, 2017 and March 5, 2018.

  • Naka Island Resort & Spa, Phuket, Thailand-Was 40,000 points per night, now 26,000 points per night.
  • Prince de Galles, Paris, France-Was 60,000 points per night, now 39,000 points per night.
  • St. Regis Punta Mita, Mexico-Was 60,000 points per night, now 39,000 points per night.
  • Le Méridien, Bora Bora, French Polynesia-Was 60,000 points per night, now 39,000 points per night.
  • St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Puerto Rico-Was 60,000 points per night, now 39,000 points per night.
  • Vana Belle, Koh Samui, Thailand-Was 60,000 points per night, now 39,000 points per night.
  • W Retreat, Koh Samui-Was 60,000 points per night, now 39,000 points per night.
  • Al Maha, Dubai-Was 60,000 points per night, now 39,000 points per night.
  • W Retreat & Spa, Maldives-Was 90,000 points per night, now 58,500 points per night.
  • St. Regis Bora Bora Resort, French Polynesia-Was 90,000 points per night, now 58,500 points per night.
  • St. Regis, Maldives-Was 90,000 points per night, now 58,500 points per night.

These are some of Starwood’s most luxurious hotels and can cost thousands of dollars per night if you were paying cash, so it’s great to see a 35% off promo. Note that you can’t book the 35% off rate online. You need to call Starwood’s call center and book these over the phone.

To make this deal even better, you can stack this offer with Starwood’s standard book 4 nights and get a 5th night free offer. For example, if you book a four-night stay at the St. Regis in Bora Bora, you’ll have to spend 234,000 SPG points (58,500 per night after the 35% discount). But because you’re booking four nights, you get a 5th night for free. This brings your effective rate down from 58,500 per night to 46,800 per night!
