Alaska Airlines is Ending Virgin America’s Red Uniforms in 2019
Alaska Airlines revealed its new employee uniforms over the weekend. They’re taking to the skies on all 19,000 Alaska and Virgin America employees starting in late 2019. Alaska says the new uniforms “perfectly capture our fresh, West Coast vibe.” I’m not sure what is West Coast about grey and blue.
The airline will begin testing the new uniforms on 130 employees this week. Keep an eye out for flight attendants, pilots, customer service agents, and lounge employees wearing the new outfits. The Virgin America brand, livery, aircraft design, and uniforms are expected to be fully phased out by the end of 2019.
I think the new Alaska outfits look completely boring. Grey and blue…what a novel idea! Virgin America’s colors (pictured above) were infinitely better.
