American Airlines Adding Five New Routes to Latin America

American Airlines is adding flights to five destinations in Mexico and South America. Here’s the new routes:



  • Los Angeles (LAX)- Buenos Aires (EZE), Argentina starting December 19, 2018. Flights can be booked starting April 2, 2018 and will be operated with a Boeing 787-9.
  • Dallas (DFW) – Oaxaca (OAX), Mexico starting December 19, 2018. Flights can be booked starting April 2, 2018 and will be operated with an Embraer E175.
  • Miami (MIA) – Georgetown (GEO), Guyana starting December 20, 2018. Flights can be booked starting April 2, 2018 and will be operated with an Airbus A319.
  • Miami (MIA) – Pereira (PEI), Colombia starting December 20, 2018. Flights can be booked starting April 17, 2018 and will be operated with an Airbus A319.
  • Miami (MIA) – Cordoba (COR), Argentina starting April 2, 2019. Flights can be booked starting May 7, 2018 and will be operated with a Boeing 767-300.

It’s great that American is adding more flights to Latin America. It’ll be the only airline flying nonstop from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires. Lord knows we need more competition to Argentina as those flights are usually very expensive.
