Amex Platinum Cardholders Can Access More Lufthansa Lounges

Article By:

American Express partnered with Lufthansa last September to grant certain cardholders access to a handful of Lufthansa’s lounges. Here’s what they got:

  • Platinum Cardholders could access the Lufthansa Senator Lounges in Terminal 2 Satellite when flying Lufthansa, Swiss, or Austrian Airlines Business Class.
  • Platinum Cardholders could access the Lufthansa Business Lounges in Terminal 2 Satellite when flying Lufthansa, Swiss, or Austrian Airlines in any class.
  • Centurion Cardholders could access the Lufthansa First Class Lounge in Terminal 2 Satellite when flying Lufthansa, Swiss, or Austrian Airlines in any class.

Lufthansa and American Express are extending their partnership and allowing cardholders to access additional lounges. The following rules apply starting June 1, 2018:

  • Platinum Card Members may access Lufthansa Business Lounges (regardless of ticket class) and Lufthansa Senator Lounges (when flying business class) in the Satellite area of T2 in Munich Airport, and T1 Concourse B in Frankfurt Airport.
  • Centurion Members may access Lufthansa First Class, Senator and Business lounges in the satellite area of T2 in Munich Airport, and T1 Concourse B in Frankfurt Airport, regardless of ticket class.

You need to present your credit card, photo ID, and boarding pass for same-day travel on a Lufthansa Group airline (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian). It’s great to see the two companies expanding this partnership. I love Lufthansa’s lounges.
