ANA’s New A380s Flying to Hawaii Starting in 2019
All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced details of its upcoming A380 aircraft this morning. The airline is taking delivery of three A380s starting in Spring 2019. They feature some modest seat updates and will be used for flights between Japan and Hawaii.
All three aircraft have unique Hawaii inspired livery and theming. There’s the blue Lanai jet (meaning sky), the green Kai jet (meaning ocean), and the orange Ka La jet (meaning sunset).
The upper deck has 8 First Class seats, 56 Business Class seats, and 73 Premium Economy seats. The main deck has 383 Economy Class seats. ANA is the first airline to offer international First Class on flights between Japan and Hawaii. If you’ve ever been to Hawaii, you know the islands are a massive vacation destination for the Japanese.
I’ve flown ANA First on the Boeing 777 and loved the experience. The new First Class on the A380 has darker colors and a sliding door. Not much appears to have changed other than that.
