British Airways Revamps Flagship Concorde Room at London Heathrow
British Airways is in the process of overhauling its First and Business Class products. It’s improving the lounge experience, the cabin seats, and the onboard service. The airline recently introduced new Business and First Class bedding on its flights between New York and London, which will be expanded to its entire fleet by summer 2018. As part of this effort, British has been renovating its flagship lounge, the Concorde Room at London Heathrow airport. Only BA or partner First Class passengers and Oneworld Emerald members have access to this space. British released the first official photos of the recently completed renovation yesterday.
These are fairly soft improvements to the lounge. The Concorde room also offers mobile phone charges upon request. The airline will revamp its Concord Room in New York (JFK) next, with plans to revamp lounges in Aberdeen, Rome, and Geneva in 2018.
Do you like this design? Maybe its because I’m a millennial, but this looks like something my parents generation would love. It definitely exudes a certain old-world British charm, which is what the airline was going for. I personally think Lufthansa First Class lounges look much better.
