Earn 100,000 Chase Points For Getting a New Mortgage
Chase made headlines back when it launched the insanely popular Sapphire Reserve credit card last year. The card initially came with a 100,000-point sign-up bonus (which has since been reduced to 50,000), and it earn 3X points per $1 on all travel & dining purchases while offering Priority Pass Select lounge access. The 100,000 point offer proved so popular that it ended up costing the bank hundreds of millions of dollars worth of points it had to give out to customers. Well, Chase is now offering customers another chance to earn 100,000 bonus points!
Chase will give you 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points if you finance a new home through the bank. The 100,000 points will post to your account within 10 weeks of the mortgage closing. There are a few restrictions that come with this offer.
- It’s only available to customers who’ve had the Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, or Sapphire credit card prior to May 7, 2017.
- Applications must be submitted between May 8, 2017-August 6, 2017.
- The offer is only available for new, residential first purchase loans submitted directly to Chase.
- There is no minimum mortgage requirement.
Obviously, you shouldn’t go out of your way to buy a house just to get 100,000 Chase points. But if you’re considering buying a house anyway, it won’t hurt to give Chase a look. If you can get a similar interest rate and mortgage from Chase as you could with other banks, you might as well pick up some extra points along the way 😉
The 100,000 points can be redeemed fro $1,500 if you have the Sapphire Reserve and redeem for travel credits. However, you can get far more value by transferring the points to Chase’s 11 transfer partners. By transferring to an airline partner, you can book flights like Lufthansa First Class, Air Canada Business Class, Singapore Suites Class and more!
