Article By:

Last week, Delta announced new trans-Atlantic routes for the summer of 2018. Delta currently offers the most seats across the Atlantic when it comes to the big three American airlines. These new routes will certainly help them keep that title. The newly announced flights are as follows:

Daily service using Boeing 767 aircraft will begin on May 24th, 2018 and end on September 4th, 2018.

Los Angeles (LAX) to Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)

Service is four times a week using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft. Flights will start June 16th, 2018.

Los Angeles (LAX) to Paris- Charles de Gaulle (CDG)

Service is three times a week using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft. Flights will start June 16th, 2018.

New York (JFK) to Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal (PDL)

New York (JFK) to Lagos, Nigeria (LOS)

Service is three times a week. Flights will start March 24th, 2018 and will be year-round.

Indianapolis (IND) to Paris- Charles de Gaulle (CDG)

Detroit (DET) to Paris- Charles de Gaulle (CDG)

Delta will add a third daily flight to this route. Service will start May 16th, 2018.

These new routes will further expand Delta’s transcontinental might. They aren’t bookable quite yet but they should be soon. Keep in mind the airline has one of the more older and retro-fitted fleets out of the big thee US carriers.
