Delta Eliminating Flights from New York to Cuba
Several US airlines launched flights to Cuba back in 2016 after the United States began allowing commercial aviation to the island. Since then, one airline after another has reduced capacity to Cuba or eliminated routes altogether. There just wasn’t as much demand as they initially projected.
Delta will be the latest airline to reduce service to Cuba come this Fall. Delta has scheduled its last New York (JFK)-Havana (HAV) flight for September 1, 2018. It will continue operating flights from Atlanta (ATL) and Miami (MIA) for now.
Travelers departing New York can still fly directly to Cuba with JetBlue from JFK or United from Newark (EWR).
