Dinner at Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh in Disney World

Article By:

The Crystal Palace is an iconic restaurant in Disney World, Florida. It’s located at the end of Main Street in the Magic Kingdom and has been operating for decades. This is one of a select group of restaurants in Disney World which offers a great location, quality food, and character interactions. It’s always recommended that you make a reservation here. If you’re paying with the Disney Dining plan, this is a one table service credit restaurant.

The first thing you notice when you walk inside is that it’s Friendship Day at the Crystal Palace! (Every day is friendship day there). The greeter will walk you to your seat and inform you to help yourself to the buffet. Keep your eye out for characters roaming around before going up to get food though. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet go from table to table interacting with guests, taking photos, and signing autograph books. It typically takes about an hour for the characters to make their way around the whole restaurant.

Me and Tigger! He kept purring in my ear.

Eeyore is always a sad donkey.

Winnie was cheerful as ever though!

As I mentioned, this restaurant is a buffet and offers a wide selection of food. The left and right sides of the buffet station serve identical options, and you’ll find a kids station at the end of both rows (try the kids corn dogs, they’re awesome). Below are some of the food items available when I visited in June 2017.

I couldn’t get pictures of all the food. For example, the salad bar was larger than depicted here and they also offered a couple fish options. There’s also a frozen yogurt machine. I always enjoy visiting the Crystal Palace. It’s one of the places in Disney World I go to every time I’m there. It’s always fun to see characters cheering up kids and wanting to take photos with you. The restaurant is situated in a central location in the Magic Kingdom and it consistently offers great food.
