French Airline La Compagnie is Finally Adding Lie-Flat Seats
French Business airline La Compagnie has ordered two new Airbus A321Neo aircraft for its fleet. The three-year-old airline, previously known as Dreamjet, operates all Business Class seat flights from its base in Paris Charles de Gaulle to Newark Liberty. The new aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2019.
The A321neos will replace La Compagnie’s aging Boeing 757 aircraft, which it has been using since the foundation of the company. Both of its 757’s are currently fitted with 74 semi lie-flat angled seats and are planned to be phased out by 2021.
The airline is currently searching for a manufacturer to provide and fit its new aircraft with ACTUAL lie-flat seating. It also plans on bringing the ‘latest technologies’ available and Wi-Fi onboard. Finally, La Compagnie is also considering adding new routes to its network, though we don’t know which ones. It currently only operates flights from Paris to New York, after pulling out of London Luton airport in September of 2016.
