The Airbus A350 is the cool kid on the block. Nearly every major airline is adding them to their fleet because they’re more fuel efficient than the previous generation of aircraft and can fly long distances. Delta is equipping the A350 with its new Business Class seats, which look pretty amazing and feature sliding doors. Delta has revealed the first six routes set to feature the new aircraft.

  • Detroit (DTW)-Tokyo (NRT) beginning October 30, 2017
  • Detroit (DTW)-Seoul (ICN) beginning November 18, 2017
  • Detroit (DTW)-Beijing (PEK) beginning January 17, 2018
  • Detroit (DTW)-Amsterdam (AMS) beginning March 2018
  • Atlanta (ATL)-Seoul (ICN) beginning March 24, 2018
  • Detroit (DTW)-Shanghai (PVG) beginning April 19, 2018

Delta announced the first transatlantic route from Detroit to Amsterdam this morning. It’s nice to see the airline bringing its newest aircraft to Europe. Delta’s Senior Vice President, Dwight James, said the following:

“The A350 on one of four daily Delta flights between Detroit and Amsterdam will be a great asset for its enhanced customer experience and the superb operating efficiencies it will bring.”
