Last Chance to get 10,000 Bonus Alaska Mileage Plan Miles!
Back in December, we discussed the details of Alaska Airline’s acquisition of Virgin America-which led to the creation of the fifth largest airline in the US.
Alaska Air has had on offer of bonus miles for Virgin America Elevate members for a while now, and that offer was extended last month until today. Eligible Virgin America elevate members can activate their Alaska Mileage Plan account and choose a bonus of either 10,000 Alaska miles or a $100 discount code towards any Alaska Airlines purchase. Today is the last day to take advantage of this offer!
To qualify for the offer, you must have been an active Virgin America Elevate member as of December 5, 2016 (meaning your account must have recent activity in the last 18 months). The $100 discount code can only be used on Alaska Airlines flights (which includes Horizon air, Sky West, and Pen Air.) Finally, if you meet this criteria, you should have already received an email from Alaska containing your new Alaska Mileage Plan number. You’ll need that number to sign-up for the bonus.
Since the finalization of the merger process between Alaska and Virgin, Alaska Air Group has been working on smoothing the transition process between the two frequent flyer programs. One way it’s doing this is by allowing members to transfer miles from Elevate to Mileage Plan at a rate of 1:1.3.
