Lounge Review: Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge in Montreal

Article By:

I had three hours to kill in Montreal on the way to Paris so I decided to visit the Air Canada Maple Leaf lounge located at the international terminal between Gates 50-51.

There’s several ways to access this lounge. Star Alliance Gold members, United Club members, Air Canada Maple Leaf Club members, and international Star Alliance Business and First Class passengers can enter.

This lounge is BIG. There’s several rooms available with various seating layouts. I love how they integrated plants into this room.

Another seating arrangement with newspapers and magazines available on the right countertop.

The lounge has ample floor to ceiling windows with great views of taxied aircraft.

This is where I spent my time. There’s four of these cubicles located on the far right of the lounge. The leather seat is quite comfortable and has a great view. There’s also a wall outlet located behind it to charge your devices.

The standout feature here was the stir fry station. There was a chef making fresh customized stir fry! This level of food preparation goes above and beyond what I’d expect from a Business Class lounge.

It looked and tasted amazing!

There was also an extensive buffet available with hot and cold items. I did not particularly enjoy the chicken Milanese.

There was pasta available (left) and miso cod. The cod was far too overcooked. In retrospect, I realize I should have opened these lids before snapping a photo 😉 There was also minestrone soup, Thai chicken curry soup (highly recommend), fruits, and cookies.

They had a fully stocked bar for custom drinks and there was self-serve wine and beer available at the buffet.

The bathrooms were up to date and in perfect condition. The lounge also had two shower rooms, but they were both in use so I wasn’t able to snap photos.

I enjoyed Air Canada’s Maple Leaf lounge in Montreal. There were ample wonderful seating options and service was great. The food was a bit mixed. It was either delicious or bad, with little middle ground. However, the food which shined was fantastic to the point that I can forgive the distasteful food.
