Lufthansa Adding “A la carte” Meals to Economy and Premium Economy

Article By:

Lufthansa is introducing a la carte meals on intercontinental flights from Munich (MUC) and Frankfurt (FRA). Economy and Premium Economy passengers will be able to order from seven meal options at an extra charge. Prices range from 19-33 euros.

Meal options include grilled steak, a Bento Box with Japanese sushi, hearty Bavarian snacks, Asian vitality menu with quinoa, Mediterranean pasta, and more. All a la carte meals are served on “stylish porcelain.”

Lufthansa will begin adding a la carte dining in May 2018. Passengers can pre-order up to 24 hours before departure on Lufthansa.com. A la carte dining complements the airline’s existing meal service. Passengers will continue to receive standard meals on intercontinental flights.
