Norwegian Adds Four More Routes to the US Starting at $199
Norwegian keeps adding more and more low-cost flights to the United States. The Iceland based airline connects passengers between the US and Europe for promotional fares starting around $99 and charges extra for everything else-like bag fees, seat assignments, food, priority boarding etc. The business model is proving to be so successful that legacy airlines are starting to offer similar restricted tickets at low prices. Norwegian announced four new routes this morning.
- Madrid- New York (JFK) 3X per week, starting July 18, 2018
- Madrid- Los Angeles (LAX) 4X per week, starting July 16, 2018
- Amsterdam- New York (JFK) 4X per week, starting May 7, 2018
- Milan- Los Angeles (LAX) 4X per week, starting June 18, 2018
With this latest round of expansions, Norwegian will offer 61 nonstop transatlantic routes serving 13 US cities. Prices for these flights start at $199 one-way and they can already be booked online. Norwegian’s CEO said:
“2017 has been a year of exponential growth for Norwegian in Europe and the United States. Next year, we will continue our long-haul expansion by offering passengers easy and affordable connections between the US and some of Europe’s most exciting cities.”
