Over 100 Cockroaches Found on Two Chinese Aircraft

Article By:

The South China Morning Post is reporting that more than 100 cockroaches were found on two international Chinese flights bound for the Chinese city of Kunming. Pest control was called to the aircraft to remove the critters and fumigate the entire cabin.

The cockroaches have been identified as German cockroaches. Apparently these are the smallest of the three most common specials in the world. Chinese authorities aren’t releasing the name of the airline, the flight’s origin city, or the date of the flights.

Airport authorities have asked the airline to improve hygiene going forward. Well, that’s certainly a relief right? I feel so much better about flying in China now that authorities have politely asked the airline to improve its hygiene.
