Review: ANA Business Class Lounge in Tokyo (HND)

Article By:

I got to visit the ANA international business class lounge in Tokyo (HND) thanks to my Star Alliance Gold status. As soon as you walk past the check-in desk you’ll find these Star Wars action figures. ANA has a partnership with Star Wars and operates four Star Wars themed jets-R2D2, C3PO, BB-8, and a generic Star Wars jet. You’ll find various Star Wars characters and items on display throughout the lounge, which is a nice touch.

The lounge was packed when I was there around lunchtime. There are several seating rooms with different seating options available.

There’s bar seats, two-person dining tables, and couches throughout the lounge. You can also grab a seat by one of the giant windows and gaze at the huge ANA fleet.

The ANA lounge offers a pretty good buffet selection. While the selection wasn’t very large, everything tasted great. Some food options include sushi, chicken fingers, beef, soup, rice, cheese, bread, and soup.

In addition to the buffet, the lounge offers a noodle bar! You order at the bar from a selection of five noodle dishes. It took about five minutes to prepare my soba with chicken curry and it tasted wonderful!

You’ll also find a wide selection of standard alcoholic beverages and liquors along with an automatic beer dispenser. You put your glass inside, hit a button, and it fills it up to the top with beer. Another nice touch is that the beer glasses are kept in a refrigerator so they remained chilled. Of course this being Japan, there’s also a wide selection of sake available.

Finally, the bathrooms were spotless and there were shower rooms available, although I didn’t have time to take a peek at the showers. Overall I enjoyed my time at the ANA lounge. I had no trouble finding a seat even though it was quite crowded, the food was excellent, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the lounge staff provided excellent service.
