Review: One Bedroom Villa Bay Lake (Theme Park View) at Disney World

Article By:

Bay Lake is the relatively newly built tower alongside the Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World. It shares many of the same dining, recreation, and shopping facilities with the Contemporary and is within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom. I spent a couple nights in a one-bedroom villa with theme park view in May 2018. Here’s what room 7826 looked like.

As with all Disney Vacation Club rooms, the room also had a washer and a dryer. Everything was exceedingly comfortable. Having two bathrooms is always a huge plus when staying in Walt Disney World as two people can get ready for the parks simultaneously in the morning. The sofa in the living room can also open up into a queen bed, meaning four guests can comfortably sleep here.

Arguably the best perk of the one bedroom villa with theme park view was the view itself. We were overlooking Cinderella’s castle and Space Mountain. Guests staying in these rooms have beautiful views of the nightly Happily Ever After fireworks and can even play the music from their in-room TVs.

This is not a comprehensive review of Bay Lake, just a snapshot of my experience in the villa. I loved my stay here and have no problem recommending it. You’re also a short walk to the monorail so getting into the Magic Kingdom is easy.
