Singapore Will Begin Retrofitting New Suites Class in Late 2018
Singapore Airlines revealed its new First Class Suites a few weeks ago. The suites are only available on the A380, and there’s just six suites onboard the world’s largest passenger jet. Each suite comes with a set of sliding doors, a 76-inch-long fully flat bed with adjustable recline, and a separate 21-inch leather swivel chair. The first two rows of suites can be combined to form one ridiculously huge mega suite with adjoining beds.
The new suites will debut on the five A380 aircraft the airline has on order from Airbus over the next two years. The first of these will begin flying between Singapore-Sydney on December 18, 2017. Airbus recently announced that it will begin retrofitting Singapore’s existing fleet of 14 A380s with the new suites beginning late 2018 and expects to finish by 2020.
Singapore’s new suites look amazing. The only way to book them with miles is by using Singapore KrisFlyer miles. The airline isn’t releasing any Saver level award space, so it’s going to cost a hefty mileage premium to experience this with points. Will you be flying Singapore’s new suite class?
