Singapore’s New A380 Suites Class is Coming to Hong Kong & London
Singapore Airlines unveiled its new Suite Class in early November 2017. The cabin is configured in a 1-1 seating configuration on the upper deck of the giant A380. The suites are absolutely massive. They come with a 76-inch-long bed, a separate electric swivel chair, and a small work desk. You can even book two adjacent suites and combine the two double beds to form one giant bed.
The new suites are currently only available on the A380 flying between Singapore-Sydney. Singapore has five A380s on order which have the new suites and will be retrofitting its existing fleet over the next two years. The coming A380s also feature Singapore’s new Business Class seats. Singapore has announced that Hong Kong and London are the next two routes to get the new A380s.
The new A380 will fly between Singapore-Hong Kong from February 18-April 6, 2018. There will be 4X flights per week, operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The A380 is taking a two-day break and resuming operations on April 8, 2018.
The new A380 will fly between Singapore-London from February 16-April 5, 2018. There will be 3X flights per week, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The A380 is taking a two-day break and resuming operations on April 7, 2018. The flight schedule will change to Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays effective April 7th.
You can book award flights in Singapore Suites Class using KrisFlyer miles. Here’s how much one-way awards cost:
- Singapore-Sydney: Saver Award- 80,000, Standard Award- 150,000
- Singapore-Hong Kong: Saver Award- 37,500, Standard Award- 70,000
- Singapore-London: Saver Award- 115,000, Standard Award- 210,000
While you can theoretically redeem miles at the Saver Award rate, Singapore hasn’t released any award availability at these prices yet. That means you’ll have to pay the Standard Award rate for the time being.
