Swiss is Opening a Second First Class Lounge in Zurich

Article By:

Swiss airlines is opening a second First Class lounge in Zurich (ZRH) on March 5, 2018. The new lounge is located in Terminal A, which is mainly used for intra-Europe flights. Passengers will be able to check-in and go through airport security directly at the lounge, and enjoy an a la carte restaurant. Some other neat touches include a ‘relaxation room,’ a smoking lounge, and the ability to check your coat when flying to a warmer destination and pick it up when you return.

HON Circle members of Lufthansa Group and passengers traveling in Swiss or Lufthansa First Class can access the new 7,000 square foot space. Swiss is also rolling out a new chauffeur service the summer. Eligible passengers arriving in Terminals B, E, or at remote stands will be picked up and driven to passport control.

The downside is that only elite members of Lufthansa Group’s Miles & More program can book Swiss First Class award seats. That makes booking Swiss First Class awards prohibitively difficult unless you’re willing to qualify for M&M elite status.
