Targeted: American Express Offering 100K Sign-Up Bonus for Platinum Card
Creditcards.com offers a tool called CardMatch which can offer higher than normal credit card sign-up offers. You have to enter your name, address, and the last four digits of your social to see your targeted sign-up offers from various credit card companies.
A lot of people are receiving a targeted 100,000 point sign-up offer from the Platinum Card from American Express after spending $5,000 in the first three months of account opening. This is significantly higher than the public offer of 60,000 points after spending $5,000 in the first three months of account opening.
The Platinum Card comes with a host of fantastic perks. My favorite benefits are earning 5X points per $1 on airfare, Centurion Lounge access, Delta SkyClub access, Hilton Gold Status, $200 annual airline fee credit, and $200 annual Uber credit.
There’s a couple things to keep in mind. First, the CardMatch inquiry creates a soft inquiry on your credit report. This means the credit check will appear on your credit report, but it will not affect your credit score. Second, the standard American Express once in a lifetime bonus restriction applies. This means if you’ve had the card before, you aren’t eligible for the sign-up bonus.
