Article By:

There’s a new VIP terminal, dubbed “The Private Suite”, opening at LAX on May 15, 2017. The new terminal seeks to make the ground portion of air travel seamless, comfortable, and luxurious. The catch? Fees at access the exclusive terminal start at $2,000. Here’s what that buys you-

The Experience

The Private Suite promises that it will only take you 70 steps to get from your car seat to the airplane. The experience begins as soon as you pull up to the private gate of the terminal. You’re immediately greeted by an agent who takes your luggage and escorts you to your own private suite. There’s no need to wait in line or deal with your luggage from the moment you step out of your car.

Every suite has its own bathroom, food-service, two-person bed, and a view of the runway. If you have any special requests, the agents at the suite will be able to assist you. You’re encouraged to relax while you wait for your flight to begin boarding.

When it’s time to head to your flight, you’re escorted to a private TSA screening area. Again, there’s no need to wait in line. You also don’t have to worry about walking to your terminal. Once you’re past security, another agent will escort you to a BMW 7-Series sedan which will take you across the tarmac to your jet. When you reach your jet, yet another agent will be waiting to escort you onto the plane.

The Pricing

As you can see, the one-time fee to use the terminal ranges from $2,000-$4,000 depending on the lounge experience you want, how many people are traveling in your party, and whether it’s a domestic or international flight. If you fly out of LAX often, you get far more value by purchasing an annual $7,500 membership.

Would you consider a membership at “The Private Suite” if you had the money to spend on something like this?
