United Polaris Seats Coming to Tokyo This June
United has been heavily marketing its new Polaris seats even though the full hard product is only available on one international route right now. The new business class seats are in a 1-2-1 configuration and offer direct aisle access to every seat. They also come with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, improved meal service, wine sampling service, and more!
United’s first international Polaris route started March 25, 2017 between San Francisco (SFO)-Hong Kong (HKG). The second route is expected to launch May 5, 2017 between Newark (EWR)-Tel Aviv (TLV). United just loaded its third international Polaris route into its booking system: San Francisco (SFO)-Tokyo (NRT) starting June 14, 2017.
It’s great to see United adding a third route to its Polaris network, especially to a major hub like Tokyo. I’m flying United from Tokyo-San Francisco on June 11 and will end up missing a seat on a Polaris flight by just a few days as I don’t have any flexibility to change my schedule. Bummer for me 🙁
