Video: United Says Farewell to the Queen of the Skies
United’s final 747 flight will take place on November 7, 2017 from San Francisco (SFO)- Honolulu (HNL). Once the Queen of the Skies, the 747 is now being phased out by nearly all major airlines. United released the following tribute video/documentary highlighting the achievements and history of the iconic aircraft:
United launched an online auction for tickets to the last 747 flight back in September. It comes with domestic airfare to San Francisco on November 6th, hotel accommodations on November 6th, two economy seats on the farewell flight to Honolulu, and two economy return tickets back the the passengers’ hometown. You can bid for tickets here until October 17, 2017. The highest bid is currently going for 351,000 miles!
