Vigin Atlantic becomes First European Airline with Fleet-Wide Wi-Fi

Virgin Atlantic just became the first European carrier to offer Wi-Fi on all its aircraft. This is great for Virgin flyers, but it’s worth noting that they only operate 39 aircraft as opposed to hundreds of aircraft operated by the likes of British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa etc. Virgin offers two Wi-Fi packages. Wi-Fi light for £4.99 and Wi-Fi max for £14.99. Mark Anderson, Executive VP of Virgin Atlantic said the following:

“From today, customers flying around the world with Virgin Atlantic can work and play throughout their flight as we become the first airline in Europe to offer a fully Wi-Fi enabled fleet.”

Virgin also put out this somewhat confusing and bizarre video to celebrate the accomplishment a few days ago:
