WOW Air Launching $99 Flights from New York JFK to Europe
WOW air, a budget airlines based in Iceland, is rapidly expanding its route network between the United States and Europe. It first began flying to smaller airports in the Eastern U.S., then expanded to the middle of the U.S., then to the Midwest. WOW air will soon begin flying between New York (JFK) and Reykjavik (KEF). This is significant since WOW air brings ultra low cost fares and forces other airlines to drop their prices to compete.
WOW will begin offering daily flights out of JFK beginning April 26, 2018. Passengers can already book introductory $99 one-way fares between New York and Paris, Amsterdam, London Stansted, Frankfurt, Dublin, Copenhagen, and Berlin (via a connecting WOW flight in Iceland). WOW air will also expand its existing service out of Newark (EWR) to 13 flights per week beginning in May 2018.
The only caveat is that you must book a roundtrip ticket in order to get the $99 one-way price. Also know that since WOW is a low-cast airline, everything besides the seat is sold separately. This includes checked luggage, carry-ons, seat assignments, food, etc.
